In this strange position

I find myself in the strange position of wanting to follow the family business.

I mean, I'm a black sheep. I want -- wanted -- to go into music, instead of 'respectable' professions like accounting, law, or business - you know, the typical Asian things. Oh, and medicine.

But...I find myself thinking, day by day, that compared to the talent I have on my friends list, there's no way I can compete with them. And I don't want to. I want to promote them.

So I...I find myself in the strange position of needing to know more about marketing, when before I rejected anything at all to do with it.

I went out for a jog this morning, because I couldn't sleep - in fact, I stayed up the whole night. Since I was too busy puffing around the block, I didn't notice how beautiful NZ actually is when the sky's all grey and cloudy. I did try to stop once or twice, but as soon as I did I ran out of breath, so I normally just kept going. Strangely, after that, my right leg developed twinges of restlessness.

Now reaccessing the resources I'd lost on the trip, I've been working to regain the creative surges I'd had on the trip. Unfortunately, now I'm back, I'm falling back into the same-old, same-old... and that's bad.

One more day to the re-orientation of school. Yippee. (Take that as you will.)

Hey guys. It's Ryan here, and this is my blog.

I'm safe in NZ now, starting school Friday. Eh. Singapore/NZ seems really surreal now, it seems like there were three separate days - One farewelling from Singapore, one day on the plane, and one day in NZ. It's 9.00 here now, and I really should be sleeping, but I can't be bothered. I've got a computer with a mouse again, even if the mouse-wheel doesn't work, and I'm using it as much as I possibly can before I go back to school. I don't have many PS2 games. Only one Smackdown one, because I left the album, and MEMORY CARD in the box that's now in Singapore. Dang dang dang dang dang ding dang ding dang.

Anyway, I've got a really full year ahead of me. But, yeah? It's strange...I've never missed Singapore this much before. must be because of friends.
Say, how did you guys like the cards and chocolates?
